Corridor H - Foreman to Moorefield
E.L Robinson Engineering Company was contracted by the West Virginia Department of Transportation, Division of Highways to design a 5 mile stretch of four lane divided highway, known as Corridor H, in Hardy County, West Virginia. This project also included 3.5 miles of access roads, a truck escape ramp, three bridges, and a naturalized stream design.
Our Roadway group utilized their expertise to conduct alignment studies (saving the Division of Highways approximately $20 Million), surveying, right-of-way, maintenance of traffic, drainage, access roads, signing, pavement markings and utility relocations. The Structures group designed dual structures approximately 185 feet long, another 85 foot long structure, as well as a box culvert. Also involved in the project was E.L. Robinson Engineering Company’s team of geotechnical engineers which provided geotechnical investigations and studies, which helped design the 10 million cubic yards of excavation.
