Jan 06, 2022ELR Helps Out White Sulphur Springs, WV Community Ravaged by 2016 Floods
In 2016, tragic flooding hit ELR’s home state of West Virginia in the White Sulphur Springs community in the Greenbrier and Allegheny counties. Over 1,500 homes were damaged and most importantly 23 lives were lost when the community experienced a 1,000-year flooding event caused by almost 10” rain in a 24-hour period. Over time, the community has repaired damages caused by the flood. ELR has been instrumental in the design and construction of both the Village and the Veteran’s Pavilion located adjacent to Hope Village. The plaque shown, which rests in the Veteran’ Pavilion, is dedicated to all the men and women who have served this great country. ELR is proud to have been involved in helping this community rebuild. The Pavilion was constructed by Christian Public Services which was also a donor to the Project.
